What is distribution floorplan finance?

  1. Dealer makes an order to the factory, factory allocates build slot and manufactures the equipment
  2. Equipment is ready for shipment, MitchCap makes payment on behalf of the dealer
  3. Factory ships equipment for sale
  4. The dealer markets the equipment for sale
  5. Dealer sells equipment to customer, get paid
  6. On delivery & receipt of sale process from the end customer, the dealer pays MitchCap

Paul Mitchell

Founder, CEO & Managing Director

Mitchell is a chartered accountant and former General Manager of GE Capital Distribution Finance Australia & New Zealand. As well as GE, Mitchell held senior financial services roles including Managing Director A&NZ for global Non-Bank Falcon Group and Financial Solutions Manager A&NZ for global MedTech Stryker Corporation. In December 2018 Mitchell founded MitchCap.

Andrew Stafferton

Non-Executive Director

Stafferton is a Co-Founder of DF Capital, a UK Public Listed Floorplan Financier. DF Capital has grown since inception in 2016 to a market leader of Manufacturer and dealer financing solutions in Europe. Prior to co-founding DF Capital, Stafferton led the global Business Development team at GE Capital CDF, as well as roles as leading ANZ, and EMEA Head of Marine, Agriculture, and Industrial divisions. He also established products in trade and supply chain finance, across Europe and the Middle East.

Colin Day

Non-Executive Director

Day is the current Chairman of the board and brings a wealth of experience as a senior executive and company director to MitchCap. Day is the former Chief Executive Officer and Director of the public listed company Collection House Limited. Prior to Collection House Day co-founded Remington White Australia in 1987 which grew to become a leading player in the debt collection industry servicing major corporates that included Optus, ANZ, CBA, Westpac and United Energy. He has also served on the boards of numerous Listed and Unlisted Public Companies in the Manufacturing Sector.

Andrew Griffin

Non-Executive Director

Griffin is a Senior Financial Services Executive, Investor and Director and is currently Group Chief Executive Office of Balmain Corporation, a multi billion dollar investment and lending firm. Griffin has held this role since 2005 overseeing Balmain’s material growth in areas such as ABL, Property and Funds Management.

Griffin brings extensive experience within Debt and Equity Markets to the MitchCap Board as well as leadership within the broader financial services market.

Peter Carroll

Non-Executive Director

Carroll is a former Barrister and Senior Partner of Corrs Chambers Westgarth. His legal career includes – 8 years as a Commercial Law Reformer – 15 years as a Banking & Finance Partner in Corrs Chambers Westgarth – 5 years as a Barrister in Melbourne – 3 years as Managing Director of Jones King Lawyers a wholly owned subsidiary of Collection House Ltd and 12 years as co-founder and director of Alpha Legal and Alpha Legal Finance a specialist Debt Purchase and Debt Recovery Law Firm. Carroll has held engagements and lead advisory for some of the largest banks and captive finance businesses to have operated in the Domestic Floorplan Finance Market.

Brendan York

Non-Executive Director

Brendan has over 18 years of managerial and financial reporting expertise in Executive and Non-Executive roles. Brendan is a portfolio manager at Naos Asset Management and most recently was the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of marketing services business Enero Group Limited (ASX:EGG). Brendan is also currently a Non-Executive Director of building products group Big River Industries Limited (ASX:BRI), a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of BSA Limited (ASX:BSA) and a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Wingara AG Limited (ASX:WNR).

Craig Jones

Director. Head of Credit & Risk Committees

Jones is an experienced risk executive with over 30 years in the finance industry. Jones has held various senior credit & risk roles within the Equipment and Floorplan Finance Industries. He was previously the Chief Credit Officer for 3 GE Capital Australia Businesses including GE Capital’s Floorplan Business – overseeing approximately $2.5b of assets under finance. Jones chairs MitchCap’s Credit & Risk Committees.
